Hay seis maratones que se consideran las más importantes, las que todo corredor dedicado a este deporte, desea correr aunque sea una solo vez en su vida:  Berlin, Londres, Chicago, Boston, Tokyo y Nueva York.. Por ahora, he tenido la fortuna de correr Chicago y Nueva York . De las cuatro restantes, hay tres que solo necesito ahorrar para correras, pero la de Boston, es un sueño inalcanzable.  La maratón de Boston, es una carrera exigente en la que hay que cualificar con un tiempo especifico para poder registrarse. Los tiempo de cualificación se van adaptando según suba la edad. Para mi rango de edad, se requiere demostrar un tiempo de 3 horas y 25 minutos, lo que es casi una hora menos del tiempo que actualmente demoro en correrla.
