Nostalgia por los álbumes

Hay seis maratones que se consideran las más importantes, las que todo corredor dedicado a este deporte, desea correr aunque sea una solo vez en su vida:  Berlin, Londres, Chicago, Boston, Tokyo y Nueva York.. Por ahora, he tenido la fortuna de correr Chicago y Nueva York . De las cuatro restantes, hay tres que solo necesito ahorrar para correras, pero la de Boston, es un sueño inalcanzable.  La maratón de Boston, es una carrera exigente en la que hay que cualificar con un tiempo especifico para poder registrarse. Los tiempo de cualificación se van adaptando según suba la edad. Para mi rango de edad, se requiere demostrar un tiempo de 3 horas y 25 minutos, lo que es casi una hora menos del tiempo que actualmente demoro en correrla. El seis de abril 2021 completamos un año de Classic Album Saturdays (CAS). Ha sido un año de muy buena música, pero bastante extraño y anecdótico en los demás aspectos; fue un año lleno de restricciones, aislamiento, despedidas y ausencias.  En las primeras sesiones de CAS nos reunimos un grupo pequeño, pensando que esto duraría un par de meses, ni por la mente del más pesimista existía la posibilidad que estuviéramos cumpliendo un año de esta implacable y maldita pandemia. El grupo  ha crecido, se ha renovado. Mientras que algunos de los socios fundadores como Fernanda y Gustavo, nos abandonaron para probar suerte en ese extraño hobby de pintar bares, han llegado nuevas caras, que han sido un poco más fieles. En lo personal ha sido una experiencia súper positiva. He aprendido de mucha música, de la cual no me hubiera enterado de otra manera. I set the alarm for 3:00 am, however I got up 10 minutes earlier since the excitement of what was coming woke me up earlier than expected. What months before I had considered very crazy now made perfect sense. The second attempt to run the United States Marine Corps Marathon –MCM 2020- was about to begin. After facing some health issues , I had to cancel my first attempt to run this race. I decided that 2020 would be an excellent year to run it. This time I could see the Washington Monument; I would run close to the Lincoln Memorial and finish the race at the Arlington National Cemetery. Also, I imagined watching, minutes before starting the race, the military planes flying all over the city and the Marines parachuting down with the flag of the United States. I also imagined running the blue mile, a mile that is located between miles 12 and 13 and that pays tribute, displaying photos with blue frames, to Marines who have died in combat.
